Problem

Problem

Onboarding kits are usually exciting when it’s your first job, but eventually everyone does the same thing: a laptop bag, a mug, a bottle, a notebook, and a pen. Nothing connects you to the company or makes you feel proud of the new journey you’re about to begin. Ather wanted to go beyond a book that felt like another diary or manual — a book not just for employees, but also for their families.

Soluiton

Solution

We created multiple moodboards and explored interactive elements, pages that flipped in different directions, varied page sizes, and a magazine-inspired rhythm with huge images spread across pages. We designed a mascot inspired by an ongoing cultural theme and used it to emphasise key points. The book was designed to stay relevant for longer than a year, with templatized pages that could be extended as the organisation grew. We also created illustrations for each function in the organisation, designed to adapt easily into laptop stickers. It became one of the most interesting projects we’ve worked on, blending visual communication expertise with an understanding of how people interact with physical material.

Impact

Impact

People actually read through the entire book rather than tossing it onto a dark shelf. It found a place in living rooms, giving families an opportunity to understand the company their partner, friend, parent, or child was working in. Ather wanted the work to reach people beyond their team, and the booklet did exactly that: employees and their families became brand ambassadors for Ather.
