Not having any professional training got the better of me soo many times throughout my art journey so far. When I took my first doodle workshop, I felt like I wasn’t qualified to teach art to anyone. When I started doing client work, I felt weird using ARTIST to describe what I did.
Only over time did I realise that not having professional training gave me room to explore, make stupid mistakes, turn them into my style and not get stuck to the intricacies.
Another big struggle was to believe that digital art was as real and as valuable as a traditional art form. While the journey has been long, looking back, I don’t seem to remember much if these phases. What now matters is what I’ve built.
I am a self taught Illustrator and Sketchnoter and I draw for a living! 💛💛
